SEARCHING FOR MY FOOTSTEPS (ΔΙΓΛΩΣΣΟ)

Despotidis Dimosthenis - Dimitrios was born in Athens on June 15th, 2007 and his origins are traced back from Andros. He is a student of Y10 at the English language International school of Athens, Campion, and he is a multifaceted and interesting personality. From a very young age, he was immersed in both English and Greek books, intrigued by chess, literature, philosophy, poetry, art, theatre, and culture in general. At the age of 11 he wrote his first poem titled "Through a looking glass" and two years later, with his "Inspirational poem’’, he won the first place in the International poetry competition of the Never Such Innocence Foundation, at the age category 11-14 years, subcategory ‘’A Fight for Freedom’’. Last but not least, with his poem "Thoughts of Life", he received in June 2021 an honorary distinction from the Union of Writers of Northern Greece, within the framework of the 1st World Student Literary Contest, celebrating the 200th anniversary since the Revolution commenced. "Searching for my footsteps" is his first poetic compilation, published in Greek and Englsh. Ο Δεσποτίδης Δημοσθένης – Δημήτριος, μαθητής του Y10, στο Αγγλόφωνο Διεθνές σχολείο Campion, εξέδωσε πρόσφατα την 1η του Ποιητική συλλογή, με τον τίτλο ‘‘Ψάχνοντας τα βήματά μου’’, όχι μόνο στην Ελληνική, αλλά και στην Αγγλική γλώσσα. Το 2020, ο Δημοσθένης κατέκτησε την πρώτη θέση στον Διεθνή Διαγωνισμό Ποίησης του Ιδρύματος ‘‘Never Such Innocence’’ στο Λονδίνο, ανάμεσα σε 4.000 συμμετέχοντες από 44 χώρες. Επίσημα έγινε Πρεσβευτής του NSI. Κατά την διάρκεια της παρουσίασης της Ελληνικής έκδοσης, στις 9 Οκτωβρίου στην αίθουσα του Συλλόγου των Αθηναίων στην Πλάκα, σε μία πολύ ζεστή, συγκινητική και ευχάριστη ατμόσφαιρα, ο Δημοσθένης ανακηρύχθηκε Διευθυντής Λογοτεχνίας του International Action Art, ενός διεθνούς Οργανισμού με παρουσία σε 47 χώρες ανά τον κόσμο, από τον κ. Ιωάννη Μαρωνίτη, Πρόεδρο του Ομίλου Unesco Πειραιώς και Νήσων καθώς και Γενικού Προέδρου του ΙΑΑ.
